AWS 2023 Annual Conference

AWS is the largest organization dedicated to women surgeons across all surgical subspecialties. The 2023 AWS Annual Conference, held October 21-23 at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront, provided educational content and presentations by leaders in surgery. The AWS Annual Conference provides mentoring opportunities and leadership development by fostering the interaction among and exchange of information between women surgeons.

The theme for the 2023 conference was “Bringing It Back to You.“ The learner outcomes for the conference were:

• Recognize and practice self-agency to ensure the well-being and longevity of practice for surgeons
• Recognize and practice self-advocacy for all women surgeons
• Develop self-promotion skills and learn how and where to best apply
